Mobile Learning, a key area for CSEV

Mobile learning is a paradigm that is changing the way we learn forever. CSEV’s initiatives in this area include:
- Use of virtual and remote laboratories from mobile devices.
- Use of augmented avatars in context for theoretical explanations.
- Cultural tourism routes and geolocation for out-of-the-classroom learning.
- Reconstruction of objects in augmented reality for classroom learning.
- Augmented reality game – based learning.
- Creation of educational content through social and collaborative mobile applications.
- Integration of mobile applications with open learning environments, in order to re-use the communication tools and existing content on those platforms.
- Monitoring complex objects (cars, industrial machinery) from mobile devices.
- Collaborative mobile games using geolocation or QR codes, inside and outside the classroom.
- Use, discovery, and sharing of knowledge through P2P mobile learning objects.
- Mobile application for studying small "knowledge pills" aimed at "stealth study”, i.e. daily and impulse studying on the bus, while waiting for the train…
- Mobile Brain-Training.
- Biometric identification (fingerprint, iris) for use in educational settings.
